HB50
weathering steel
HB50
low-alloy steel containing a percentages of chromium (0.3 to 1.25%), manganese (0.6 to 1 5%), phosphorous (0.1%) and copper (0.25 to 0.4%)
Weathering steel rusts much more slowly than ordinary steels, but faster than stainless steel. It weathers much more uniformly than ordinary steels forming a tightly adhering patina with an improved measure of corrosion resistance, and can be used for exposed steelwork.
