  1. (a) Class A—fires involving carbonaceous solids.
  2. (b) Class B—fire involving flammable and combustible liquids.
  3. (c) Class C—fires involving flammable gases.
  4. (d) Class D—fires involving combustible metals.
  5. (e) Class E—fires involving energized electrical equipment.
  6. (f) Class F—fires involving cooking oil and fats.
Specialist advice should be sought in areas where doubt exists, or where combustible metals are present.
