anechoic chamber
HB50
room or chamber for acoustic tests, designed to simulate free-field conditions
The internal surface linings are chosen so as to absorb essentially all the incident sound energy at audio frequencies, so that the reverberant field generated is negligible. An anechoic room is the opposite of a reverberation room, and is also called ‘non-reverberant room’.
