aerated concrete

Also called: cellular concrete (US), gas concrete
HB50
HB50
lightweight concrete obtained by the formation of air or gas bubbles in the plastic mix which are retained on setting and hardening, thereby improving thermal insulating properties
The air bubbles are made by whisking with an air-entraining agent or an admixture which improves foaming or the formation of gas bubbles which later fill with air. For factory-made components, aerated concrete is often steam-cured under high pressure to improve strength.
